lyrics

I’ve tried everything, but nothing seems to wake her up.

It’s millennium day and we’re down to the wire
My plans are in ruins and soon they’ll expire
There’s 4 hours left till the prophecy’s gone
I need someone to come and try and help me along.

They offered her artifacts, antiques and jewels
Clothing and foodstuffs croissants and cagoules
They promised her riches, a cat from Siam
But nothing seemed to work and so I told them to scram.

I’ve tried everything, but nothing seems to wake her up.

We’ve had noble elves down from Kathmandu,
Give it their best shot but that wouldn’t do
They’ve rode in from places all over the land
But now I need somebody else to lend me a hand.

I need a quick hero to walk through that door
I’m praying to god look I’m down on the floor
Just send me a nobleman smart in the head
So I can be the ruler when the rulers are dead!

I’ve tried everything, but nothing seems to wake her up.

Oh I tear out my hair
Oh I’m caught in despair
Oh It’s getting too late
I’ve always been a patient man but now I can’t wait.

They offered her artifacts, antiques and jewels
Clothing and foodstuffs croissants and cagoules
They promised her riches, a cat from Siam
But nothing seemed to work it’s like she don’t give a damn.

I’ve tried everything, but nothing seems to wake her up.
And I’d give anything if someone came to wake her up
It must happen soon or I’ll never be king so someone needs to wake her up.
